I thought it would be fun to post our ultrasound pictures. I’ll hope to update this post as we go.
If you are confused by or if you disagree with (as my wife does) my classification of weeks, please read my explanation below.
Week 12 (Day 78) [4.5 mm long. Baby will soon be 2'' long. Now if my wife's nausea could just go away...]

Week 11 (Day 73) [wow. it really looks like a baby now. he/she was swimming so much it was hard to get good shots.]

Week 10 (Day 64) [another topical scan, not great resolution]

Week 9 (Day 60) [baby is 21 mm]

Week 9 (Day 56) [not as good, my wife shot these herself from up top, but we heard our first heartbeat!]

Week 8 (Day 50)

Week 7 (Day 43)

How I label each week:
If we are 11 weeks and 2 days, I would say we are currently in week 12. That’s why you’ll see Week 11 above the ultrasound my wife labeled “10 Weeks.” I hope that makes some sense. If not, look at it like this. If you have a baby that is 1 week and 1 day old. You would say they are 1 week old. But, would you say they are in “week 1″ of his/her life? No, he/she is in week 2 of his/her life. Maybe you still don’t agree with me–my wife doesn’t. That’s okay. I put the actual day number there too. If you prefer, just ignore the week number and look at the day number
Your wife is being a computer scientist and starting counting with zero.

I’ll tell her you said that… she’ll love that. This is only one of many confusing things about pregnancy.
