what a blessed way to spend a winter Sunday

Filed under: family — noisedoctor @ 10:24 pm

Given the snow/ice combination earlier this week, I knew this weekend would provide a great opportunity for some sledding. We put the word out to the family yesterday. Today, we were visited by my wife’s Dad and his wife along with her daughter, my wife’s brother with his wife and daughter, my parents, my sister with her husband and three boys.

What an amazing blessing it was. We had lots of laughs, a little food, a lot of hot chocolate, and tons of fun. Unfortunately there were a couple mild injuries (my hyper-extended ankle was the worst–as I soak my ankle in ice water right now).

Today was a real great time, taking ourselves away from house projects, discussions about our fertility treatment plans, etc. We just scrapped everything and hung out with our family.

  1. Only “a little food”? You’re clearly not Baptist! 🙂
